Step 1

What vehicle needs help?

Enter the registration. AdBlue systems differ enormously between manufacturers, so the vehicle decides what we test and what the realistic options are.

No registration to hand? Scroll on and tell us the problem — we can work from the make and model.

Step 2

What is the problem?

Pick the closest match in plain English. You don't need to know the technical name — that's our job.

How diagnosis works

Why AdBlue Repair Expert

Specialists in one system, not generalists with a code reader

Diagnostic-led

We assess the fault before recommending a solution. A stored code names a circuit, not a culprit.

Mobile

We come to the vehicle — home, work, depot or roadside, wherever there is safe access.

24/7

Emergency enquiries accepted around the clock, seven days a week.

Vehicle-specific

Options depend on the vehicle and the system fitted. Nothing is quoted from a generic template.

Specialist

Focused on AdBlue, SCR, NOx and related emissions-system faults. That focus is the whole point.

Why us

Diagnosis first. Parts second.

Most of the expensive AdBlue jobs we're called out to second-opinion were quoted from a fault code alone. A NOx code can be the sensor — or the wiring, a water-filled connector, an exhaust leak, a blocked injector, or a catalyst that genuinely isn't converting because nothing is reaching it.

We test live dosing behaviour, pressure build, heater circuits and sensor plausibility before we recommend a single component. If a part has failed, you'll see the evidence for it.

Diagnosis first, parts second

A fault code names a circuit, not a culprit. We test dosing, pressure and sensor plausibility before anything is replaced.

We come to you

Home, work, depot or roadside. No recovery truck, no leaving the vehicle at a garage for three days.

AdBlue, SCR and NOx only

This is what we do all day. Manufacturer-level equipment and the pattern knowledge that comes from seeing the same failures repeatedly.

Straight answers

If the fix is cheaper than you were quoted, we'll say so. If a dealer goodwill claim is worth a phone call, we'll say that too.

24/7 mobile AdBlue assistance

24/7 mobile call-out — minimum charge £150

£150 is the minimum mobile call-out/service charge, not the total repair price. Additional diagnosis, software work, parts or other work may cost extra and is quoted for your vehicle. Contact us now for current technician availability and ETA.

Sending opens WhatsApp with your vehicle, fault and location details pre-filled. We never quote an arrival time until we've checked technician availability.

How it works

From dashboard message to diagnosis

  1. 1

    Send us the details

Registration, postcode and the exact dashboard wording — a photo is ideal. WhatsApp is fastest.

  2. 2

We tell you what it usually means

Including whether it's safe to keep driving and how urgent the countdown is.

  3. 3

    We attend your location

Full fault memory read, live dosing and pressure data, circuit and plausibility testing.

  4. 4

You get the cause and the options

In plain English, with a quote. Many repairs are completed in the same visit.

Representative examples

Typical jobs we get called to

These are the fault patterns we see most often, written up as typical examples rather than named customer jobs. Yours may differ — the diagnosis decides, not the pattern.

2018 Ford Transit 2.0 EcoBlue

"AdBlue malfunction — no restart in 320 miles" after two refills

Fluid level was fine. Live data showed no dosing pressure being reached; the supply line to the injector had crystallised. Line and injector cleared, pressure verified, counter reset after a completed drive cycle.

Two NOx sensors had already been quoted elsewhere from the stored code alone.

2017 Mercedes Sprinter 314 CDI

Amber warning, then reduced power, code pointing at NOx

Downstream sensor was reading accurately — the catalyst genuinely wasn't converting because upstream dosing had stopped. Root cause was a failed metering pump, not the sensor.

Classic case of the sensor reporting the symptom and getting blamed for the cause.

2019 VW Crafter 2.0 TDI

Light on within a day of a top-up from a part-used container

Quality sensor rejecting the fluid — degraded AdBlue from an opened container stored through a warm summer. Tank drained, refilled with fresh fluid, adaptations reset.

AdBlue has a real shelf life. Warm storage shortens it considerably.

2016 BMW 320d

Countdown to no-start, owner had already refilled twice

Tank heater circuit fault stored from cold weather months earlier. Fluid was never the problem, so no amount of refilling cleared the inducement.

Heater and circuit faults are frequently missed by generic code readers.

2018 Vauxhall Vivaro

Light returns a few days after every dealer reset

Fault memory was being cleared without the underlying cause being fixed. The vehicle re-ran its plausibility test on the next drive cycle and re-flagged the same dosing fault.

Clearing a code is not a repair — the test simply runs again.

2020 Ford Ranger 2.0

P20E8 — reductant pressure too low

Pressure build was slow rather than absent. Blocked filter and a partially restricted injector; pump was serviceable and stayed on the vehicle.

The expensive part is often innocent when pressure is low but not zero.

The most misdiagnosed part on the vehicle

NOx sensor faults

NOx sensors are the most frequently replaced component in the AdBlue system — and frequently replaced for nothing. A downstream sensor reporting high NOx may be telling the exact truth about a catalyst that isn't converting because dosing has failed somewhere else entirely.

We test the heater circuit, live values, upstream/downstream plausibility, dosing quantity and the wiring before condemning anything — and we code the replacement properly when one is genuinely needed.

Vehicles we work with

Cars, vans and light commercial

We work across most mainstream diesel manufacturers with SCR systems. Coverage is not universal — the vehicle and the system fitted decide what is possible.

Cars

Diesel cars with SCR systems — premium saloons, estates and SUVs where dealer quotes tend to arrive before a diagnosis does.

Vans

Transit, Sprinter, Crafter, Transporter, Vivaro, Boxer, Relay and Ducato — attended at your depot, yard or roadside.

Answers

AdBlue questions drivers actually ask

+Why is my AdBlue light still on after filling up?

Either the vehicle hasn't registered the fill, the fluid was degraded or contaminated, or the warning was caused by a system fault rather than a low level. A fault-based warning stays until the fault is repaired.

+Can I drive with an AdBlue warning?

Usually for a short period. Vehicles escalate from an amber warning to a countdown, then reduced power, then a refusal to restart. If a countdown is showing, call before you park up and switch off.

+Are you really available 24/7?

Yes — we take emergency AdBlue and SCR enquiries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We won't promise a fixed arrival time; contact us now for current technician availability and ETA.

+How much does an AdBlue call-out cost?

Mobile call-out from £150 minimum. That is the minimum mobile call-out/service charge, not the total repair price. Additional diagnosis, software work, parts or other work is quoted for your vehicle once we know what it needs.

+Can you diagnose AdBlue faults at my home?

Yes — we're a mobile service. Homes, workplaces, depots and roadside locations are all normal, provided there's safe access to the vehicle.

+Do you work on vans?

Yes. Transit, Sprinter, Crafter, Transporter, Boxer, Relay and Ducato are a large part of our work alongside diesel cars.

+How do I know if my NOx sensor is faulty?

You can't tell from the dashboard. NOx codes are shared with dosing, injector and catalyst faults, so it takes live-data testing to confirm the sensor is the actual cause rather than the messenger.
